Family Camp at Camp Nazareth is exactly what it sounds like. Families “camping” together in the Camp cabins and participating in a weekend of services, games, discussions, activities and challenges that are all designed to help families deepen their relationship with God and with one another.

This is the fourth annual Family Camp. Last year we had a wonderful time together and we are looking forward to being together again this year. The schedule includes services, quiet time, guest speakers, discussions, campfires, games, free time, swimming, activities on the new High and Low Ropes Course

His Grace, Bishop Gregory has issued the following Archpastoral Letter on Famp 2016:

Our Diocese is pleased to offer our fourth annual Family Camp at Camp Nazareth this year in conjunction with Family Day. The event is exactly what it sounds like. Families “camping” together in the Camp cabins and participating in a weekend of services, games, discussions, activities and challenges that are all designed to help families deepen their relationship with God and one another.

Last year we had a wonderful time together and we are looking forward to being together again this year. We know our families need support and help, especially in this day and age. Here is an event to support and sustain our families as we continue to develop our own Diocesan Family Ministry.

Camp Cabin Expansion Project Update
Monday, November 23, 2015

With the Blessing of His Grace, Bishop Gregory and the approval of the Diocesan Board of Trustees, the Camp Nazareth cabins and other infrastructure are undergoing a significant upgrade in the off-season. The project is well underway and is scheduled to be completed by March 1, 2016, in time for the 2016 Summer Camping Season. Those who received a parish visit from His Grace, Bishop Gregory since last year at this time, or who had a family member attend Camp this past summer, undoubtedly have heard about the project, but may still not know all its details. The project is extensive and when it is completed it will be a major improvement to the quality of the camping experience for our children.

MERCER, PA [Camp Nazareth] -- On Thursday morning, October 18, 2015, a few priests and lay people gathered together at Camp Nazareth to celebrate the groundbreaking service for the beginning of the Camp’s Cabin Expansion Project. It turned out to be a beautiful day on which to celebrate outdoors and say the prayers together to begin this project. The service was celebrated at the Holy Innocents Shrine. The Holy Innocents are the patron saints of the Camp itself. Their shrine is located in the grove of trees in front of cabins 4 & 5. The shrine was beautifully adorned with Fall plants and flowers; fitting for the task at hand. The service itself was beautiful. The Very Rev. Protopresbyter Kenneth Bachofsky, who is the Camp Overseer, mentioned after the service was over that St. Paul exhorts us to pray at all times, to pray constantly, as a way of both putting and showing our trust in God, and as a way of defeating the evil one.

“On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times;
to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.” This is the Scout Oath as seen on the website of the Boy Scouts of America.

MERCER, PA [Camp Nazareth] The Diocesan Chancery and Camp Nazareth are pleased to announce that Camp now has Online Registration available to register for Summer Camp. The new online system went “live” today and can be accessed through the Camp Nazareth website at campnazareth.org. This new system will enable our campers and their parents to complete most of the registration process without having to keep track of paper documents and material. It will also simplify the process for the Camp when it comes to registration. The new system will allow campers and their families to pay for Camp online.

His Grace, Bishop Gregory has issued the following Archpastoral Message regarding the upcoming Family Camp: Our Diocese is pleased to offer our third annual Family Camp at Camp Nazareth this year in conjunction with Family Day. The event is exactly what it sounds like. Families “camping” together in the Camp cabins and participating in a weekend of services, games, discussions, activities and challenges that are all designed to help families deepen their relationship with God and with one another. Encourage them to come, and, if you are able, come yourselves with your families. Last year we had 10 Families and a total of 36 participants. We had a wonderful time together and look forward to being together again this year
